Scrapbooking hints and tips needed?
I'am having a problem with patterned 12x12 background paper. Example maybe its covered in gingerbread men, I put a picture or 2 on it, or some embellishments, and the background overshadows the picture (makes it hard to see, the picture is not what catches the eye first) I've tried matting the picture with like a 1 inch border, that doesnt seem to help? Maybe go bigger? I have 100's of sheets of beautiful background paper, but have been avoiding it and sticking with plain color or very light design papers. HELP!!
Hi, Ive discovered that if you tear your background paper and use a third of it down the lefthandside, then get a co-ordinating plain textured paper, tear that and go over the top of patterned piece from two third of the way down,then use another co-ordinnating colour to go from third way down to bottom doesnt overshadow the main picture. Use a plain co-ordinating sheet on rest of the page, then put your pictures on that side. By putting embellishments on plain part of paper on left hand side which corresponds with your subject will bring the page to life. Any odd spaces , type some comments about the picture etc. I Know this is long winded but it does work. have fun.....
